Overpass Bridge at Km 159+680 and Underpass at Km 167+235, Arifiye–Pamukova

On the Arifiye–Pamukova section of the conventional Istanbul–Ankara railway, the line was crossed from above at Km 159+680 with a 30 m prestressed precast beam overpass, and from below at Km 167+235 with an underpass. Along the approach roads, the ground was improved with 12,065 m of stone columns and 8,699 m of deep soil mixing columns, and stability was secured with 1,020 m of bored piles. Covering 1,300 m of connection roads, 12,000 m² of reinforced earth walls and 120,000 m³ of earthworks, the work was completed on behalf of the TCDD Istanbul Regional Directorate.
