Beykoz Riva Bridge and Approach Roads

For the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, a 155 m prestressed precast beam bridge was built over the Riva River, together with roughly 800 m of junction arms on both approaches. Stability was achieved with Ø165 cm bored piles reaching 65 m deep under the bridge foundations, and with stone columns of sufficient length and number along the approach roads. The existing 120 m steel bridge that carried traffic across the river was dismantled and removed with divers and other marine equipment. All electricity, lighting, telecom and water infrastructure in the project area was also renewed as part of our scope.
