Track Renewal Between Bilecik and Karaköy (Yayla) Stations

For the TCDD 1st Regional Directorate, 6.5 km of existing railway between Bilecik and Karaköy (Yayla) stations was renewed, with our own crew operating TCDD's track maintenance equipment. The old track was dismantled with the client's track-laying machine and taken to the depot by wagon; at the panel assembly base we set up, 36 m panels were manufactured with UIC 60 rails and B70 sleepers and laid back in place. The scope also included the installation of four R300 turnouts and one R500 turnout linking the conventional line to the high-speed line.

Scope of work

• 01Dismantling of 6.5 km existing track with track-laying machinery
• 02Transport of dismantled material by wagons to the depot and separation
• 03Preparation of the subgrade
• 04Set-up of a work base for manufacturing 36 m panels with UIC 60 rails and B70 sleepers
• 05Loading the panels onto wagons and laying them with track-laying machinery
• 06Transport and laying of the first ballast layer with FB wagons
• 07Dismantling of 4 existing turnouts, installation of 4 R300 turnouts
• 08Installation of 1 R500 turnout (conventional line to high-speed line)
